Contains photographs of the following military units and organizations: 81st Medical Detachment, Veterinary Food Inspection and many other units. General description of the collection: The Army veterinary photograph collection includes photographs that graphically illustrate the various facets of the Veterinary Corps mission from animal husbandry to food preparation to food inspection to the schools and class photos of the various instructional institutions that prepare Veterinary Corps officers and enlisted men to do their jobs. There are photos dealing with cattle raising, farming practices both in the field and in the barn, slaughter houses, butchering and other food preparation, operations and experimentation, training of dogs for the K-9 Corps, the use of horses and mules and personnel of the Veterinary Corps.
